What you
should know about Newsgroups |

Because many people are
reading newsgroups or are downloading files from
them, many owner of paysites uses the newsgroups
to make advertising (undesirable advertising =
SPAM) for their Home-Webpages. Especially in the
erotic- and sex- newsgroups you will find many
Spam, in some groups you will find at some days
only Spam. Many people which posts (send a
message to the group) Spam always uses other and
different sender-address. They do that, so filter
are not able to work.
You will find many messages with Web-Addresses
and text like this, "Visit my total free
webpage", or similar text. Mostly there is
nothing free or only a little preview.
A special trick is, when someone want to sell an
erotic-video, he post a message. Some days later
same person post one or more messages with an
other sender-address and text for example like
this: "What a beautifully video, the best i
ever have seen".
An other trick is, when an owner from a
Pay-Wabcam asks in a message the group for the
address from this Webcampage, and one day later
he post some messages with the address, of course
all with an other sender-address. So it seems for
the other, that is an interested Webcam, and it
not looks like Spam.
Sometimes you will find in the newsgroups
messages like "It's me" and the message
includes a picture from an for example 18 years
old boy. But mostly it is not a picture from that
one who posted the message.
TIPS:
When you see a message with text like "Visit
my Homepage" with a Home-Webpage address and
you visits this page, leave it when there are
only Banner to see, or only Links to see. Leave
it too when there is standing "My page has
moved" and there is standing a new Link,
because its Spam. Someone who want that you visit
his Web-Homepage can write the right Webaddress
when he post that message.
When you want to post a message, do not use your
real e-mail address in the sender-address (From).
Include some letters or words like *NoSpam*. For
example your e-mail address is
"[email protected]", then change it in
your mail programm to
"michael*NoSpam*@xyz.com". In the
message write something like that: " For
reply delete *NoSpam* from my e-mail address, or
write your real e-mail address into the message.
The reason for that is, it gives people which
collects e-mail addresses from newsgroups with
special programs to send spam to them or to sell
the e-mail addresses to other they will send
Spam. When you have changed your e-mail address,
then your address is worthless now.
Be very cautious when you read in a newsmessage
from any gay-group "Want to exchange (share)
self made Nude-pictures", also when that
message includes a picture of that Gay. You do
not know if it is a picture really showing
himself, or is it a picture of an other. And may
be, this sender of that message want only collect
pictures on that easy way to sell them on his
"Amateur-picture" Pay-Home-Webpage.
Messages with Home-Webpage addresses for Webcams
are mostly Paysites.
Be cautious when you read in a newsmessage from
any newsgroup "Please send me erotic-pics
per e-mail" and this message is without a
erotic-picture. Because you do know nothing about
this person, so you can get very easy hassle with
the law.
If you are interested to collect pictures from
newsgroups, and do not want to download all Spam,
make some "Test-downloads". Most Gays
which are posting pictures, posts mostly more
than only one picture. Look at the column
"author" or "sender". When
you see a sender several times and the messages
are different, select two or three messages and
download them, then you can see if it is spam or
not. If it is spam ignore all other messages from
same author, if you like the picture download all
other messages. |
